Almost all of today’s vehicles are using spin-on filters with a paper element. PowerLong filters are the next generation of oil filters because the inside element of the filter, the filtration system, is not made of paper. Instead, it’s made from stainless steel mesh. There are many benefits of steel over paper. The openings in the Sus-Mesh are consistent so there’s an absolute size of 65 microns throughout. During the paper filter manufacturing process, it’s impossible to control how the paper fibers join together and thereby producing an irregular filtration pore. This inconsistency creates a high differential pressure because the oil pressure released is lower than the pressure coming in. This variation could lead to the collapse or rupture of the paper element. Another consideration is that filtration efficiency will vary among paper filters within the same brand. Because of the uniform size of the pores in a PowerLong filter, you will have consistent pressure of oil and without worries about a collapsed or ruptured filter element or inconsistencies of pore size. The strength of paper diminishes in time, and when paper comes in contact with any liquid and under pressure, it loses strength and can rupture. This is not the case with stainless steel. PowerLong filters have superior filtration efficiency because most of the oil goes into the filtration area rather than going through the by-pass valve.

The first noticeable benefit upon installing a PowerLong filter is improved acceleration along with a smoother running engine. The engine does not have to work as hard to pump the oil through since there is less resistance in the steel mesh (low differential pressure between the oil that enters and exits the filter). Also, since there is a higher oil flow, there is less friction on the internal engine parts, less heat is generated and less oil is consumed. The moving parts receive more lubrication, thus work more efficiently and powerfully. A smoother running engine and instant response in acceleration will lead to more economical fuel consumption. (Results may vary depending on vehicle and driving conditions.)

PowerLong filters are also environmentally friendly, both in its manufacturing process and its disposal process. The manufacturing process of a PowerLong filter produces very minimal, or no toxic chemicals at all. The conventional paper filter manufacturing process produces chemical toxins, like Dioxin. PowerLong filters are made of 98.85% steel (everything except the rubber gasket and anti-drain valve), so they can be easily recycled as scrap metal.

Because of the PowerLong filter’s ability to enhance a vehicle’s quick acceleration and climbing ability, experienced motor sport racers use the filters on their vehicles with Turbo and DOHC engines. The PowerLong filter is widely used in Asia and Australia and now usage is increasing in the United States. PowerLong filters are currently used on Private vehicles, Taxis, Passenger vans, off-road racing vehicles, 24/7 commercial vehicles, and diesel trucks. PowerLong filters are covered by a limited warranty to be free from defects in materials and workmanship when installed properly and when following the manufacturer’s scheduled maintenance outlined in your vehicle’s owner manual.
