PowerLong filters are the next generation of oil filters because the inside element of the filter, the filtration system, is not made of paper. Instead, it’s made of stainless steel mesh. There are many benefits of steel over paper. The openings in the mesh are consistent so there’s a set size throughout. Because of the uniform size of the pores, you will have consistent pressure of oil and no worries about a collapsed or ruptured filter. You can go further between oil changes with a PowerLong filter. The strength of paper diminishes in time, and when paper comes in contact with any liquid, it loses strength and ruptures. This is not the case with stainless steel. The first noticeable benefit upon installing a PowerLong filter is improved acceleration along with a smoother running engine. The engine does not have to work as hard to pump the oil through since there is less resistance in the steel mesh. Also, since the engine does not have to work as hard, many vehicles have reported running at a lower engine temperature and with better gas mileage. This product is also environmentally friendly.
